UNC Urgent Care

I personally don’t enjoy going to the doctors because medicine has become a business instead of personal health care. This time, was different. I had a positive experience.

My daughter was stung by a yellow jacket on her cheek, and of course it was late on a Saturday. We were able to secure an appointment here even though it was within an hour of the facility closing. From start to finish, every single staff member and clinician was so kind and wonderful to her. The woman who checked us in talked to my daughter directly, sympathizing and telling her about her own experiences with stinging insects. The nurse cracked jokes and made her laugh with his encounter notes. The PA was reassuring, kind, and patient even though we must have been really close to their last appointment of the evening.

Teresa at the front desk was EXTREMELY helpful. She was the sole reason that I was able to navigate what was going on with my insurance and receive treatment. I am extremely grateful for her kindness and empathy during a difficult time when I wasn't feeling well. My provider was very kind and was able to explain everything thoroughly to me. My wait time also wasn't long at all. I will say that you should schedule an appointment before arrival.
