“What a gorgeous, friendly, and skilled downtown salon and I'm so happy it's in the sweet spot of the arts district. I made an appointment with the amazing Katie Green and was so impressed with not only her amazing color skills but how friendly she and all the girls in the salon were. I knew going in my pain in the ass head of extremely thick and dark hair was going to be a project and I was full of advance apologies but she clipped on that's mock and got to work. I couldn't have been more pleased with how amazing her highlights in my hair turned out. She made the 4 hours I was there fly by and everyone was so upbeat clipping and snipping away. This was the great salon experience I was looking for. I am so happy I have to look no further than 2 blocks down my own doorstep for such professional and capable service. They also offer many other spa and facial services and are one of the premier bridal suites downtown. “My second time visiting this salon and I’m impressed even more after today’s visit. Brittany took the time to consult and ask questions to be able to deliver the haircut I wanted. Followed by an amazing shampoo (by the awesome assistant, Kelly (I think)) that included an essential oil scented eye mask and spa music in the background. It was exactly what I needed after a crazy day at work. Brittany took her time with me and it never felt rushed. My hair looks and feels amazing plus I enjoyed our conversation.“

“Hire them!! I had Alice Lawson Salon do the makeup and hair for my wedding this past weekend and they did amazing. Mason, Hannah and Katie came to the venue and made it thru 10 updos and 5 makeups in a crazy fast time-they are not only the sweetest people, but great at hair and makeup. The trial run at their beautiful salon was also great. If I lived in the area I would go there more often. For the price you pay, you get way more-it was exactly like the pictures I showed them for makeup and Hannah listened when I said I didn't want a ton of makeup. “I had my hair colored then microlocs installed with Queen Brittany. Beautiful work. Amazing conversation and atmosphere. She worked on my head for an ENTIRE day. But the work WAS ON POINT. It left no crumbs. I was hurt when I learned that she was going to Charlotte to open another shop and would not be the one maintaining my locs, but was reassured Jayla was good at microloc retightenings. Again, magic flowed from Jayla's fingers. She is efficient and her work is precise. Due to other obligations, my current appointment is with Lisa. I was super nervous as I prefer to have 1 loctician to go to consistently who manages my hair and I'm encountering a 3rd loctician in less than 6 months. But because of the vibe in the shop, I would feel just as comfortable in ANY of the ladies' chair. When I got out of Lisa's chair, my hair was transformed! Also, they discuss any special notes or requests you put when scheduling your appointment to be sure that they are providing the best service to you. I can only say good things about the staff of Loc Queendom. Thank you for your responsiveness when I have questions, your unwavering amazing customer service, and the pride you put into your craft because it shows on every head that leaves your shop.
