Excellent teacher with the patience of a saint (one of the really patient ones.) And unless you are George Benson, he can probably help you out. I really don't like classical guitar and after a few classes I really really didn't like classical guitar but his diagnostic helped clean up some of posture and technique issues in just a few lessons--I became more aware of when and where I was carrying tension and its led to a significant improvement in my playing after being stuck for way too long. Mike is a wonderful teacher. I had been playing guitar for a couple of years prior to lessons and wasn't really sure how to progress. Mike has a great ability to recognize where I am at, and provide a structured approach of building blocks that have greatly improved my playing. All of this has been tailored to my own preferences, and musical interests.Mike demonstrates a true wealth of music and guitar knowledge, and does a great job breaking it down during our lessons. My son has been enjoying guitar lessons with Mike. He is knowledgeable, kind and a great teacher. He also provides my son with written and printed materials each session, and an audio recording, so he can remember and reinforce what he has learned. I would definitely recommend him to anyone learning guitar!
