Mike is able to teach across multiple genres (all styles- Blues, Classical, Rock, Bluegrass- literally whatever you throw at him) and include the theory behind it to solidify your understanding and knowledge of what you are playing. He is an exemplary teacher for adult students that are looking to grow musically, hone their skills toward being able to play by ear, learn to sight read in standard notation classical repertoire, or just keep a rhythm repertoire of tunes that they can play for friends or themselves amongst many goals to lengthly to include. I have been taking lessons with Mike for three years and have grown with his patience and willingness to meet me where I am (varying life circumstances and demands) to become a better guitarist and grow my love of playing guitar.
