I have two challenging dogs. One has extreme dog reactivity and the other is has stranger danger. I’ve brought them both to various classes at ADA including Foundations, Dynamic Dogs, Intro To Nosework, and Super Sniffers. The trainers are always super patient with my pups and their needs to keep everyone safe and happy. In fact, Nosework has been a game changer for both of my pups in different ways including confidence building and helping my reactive dog better regulate her stress. I’m so glad that I have a place where my dogs can learn in a fun environment and thrive to become their best selves allowing me to bond with them further. My little pittie mix and I had such a fun time taking classes here! We recently completed the 7-week foundations course with Logan. I was pleasantly surprised at how much we learned in the course. I'll admit I was a little disappointed at first since the class is a lot of lecturing, however, I see why it is set up the way it is. Even with a high energy dog, the breaks between exercises were needed. I did not realize how mentally exhausting the training can be for the dogs and owners. Apollo loved the classes, but was definitely ready for a nap when we got into the car. The first class and I think the fifth(?) are primarily lecture. My son & I thoroughly enjoyed taking our new puppy to foundations group training class. We learned how to be better dog owners & improved our bond with her & each other. As a human & fur Mommy, I really appreciate their positive reinforcement approach. ?
