I've been looking for a reliable, affordable tailor in the Cary or Apex area, and I've found just the place!In the last two years I've lost over 80 pounds, so nothing fits me. I've given away most of my old clothes, but there are a few pieces I really wanted to keep. A-1 is the third place I've tried, and I'm sticking with him! Anything I bring in can be done in about a week. He has me try on the clothes he's altered, to make sure the work is good and to make sure I'm satisfied. As for the price--wow! Another tailor recently charged me $14 to take in a top just under the arms. At A-1, I had a similar top taken in on the sides (all the way down) and at the shoulders for $10. More work for less money! Plus, he really understands how clothes are supposed to fit.Be prepared to pay in cash. You can pay after the work is completed, so you'll know how much to bring. The owner is friendly and does excellent work. I just picked up my bridesmaids dress and it’s perfect! I dropped off another bridesmaid dress and a jacket because I was so impressed. I typically use a tailor across town but settled on A1, which is close to home.I needed a pair of pants hemmed.My mother has been using A1 for a while and has even carried clothes here for me that she couldn't fix.I needed a quick job done, and I couldn't wait. I came here, and the job was done within a day.The cost was only $3, and I failed to catch that A1 didn't take cards, so a customer behind me paid and refused to take a cash app. I'm very grateful to that person who saved me from a trip to the bank.
