The nurses and staff were extra nice, Dr Edmisten done a great job on my surgery,he explained every thing to me that he was going to do,thanks for all the help and care that watauga medical center showed!! I'm very grateful!;;

We had the best experience today with WMC OR staff! My 3 year old had to have myringotomy and adenoidectomy this morning. Gail at the OR reception was so kind and welcoming and made the waiting room feel like a safe space. Dana our pre-op nurse was so kind and amazing with our son she brought him coloring pages and spoke to him on his level. Dr Garner was amazing and was so thorough with his explanations and discussion during the whole process. Melissa the operative nurse updated us as promised and kept an eye on my little man when I couldn't. Kristin CRNA answered all my questions About anesthesia. At 4:30 AM, we entered the ER and every single person was pleasant and helpful - the front desk, the ER nurses, the ER doctors and the X-ray teams. Although I was having a wild ride that they suspected was vertigo, since I have a history of heart issues, and I was still not able to walk, they decided to admit me to be sure there was no stroke. The only bed available was in the ICU and I surely didn’t need the Intensive care. I told them if someone else was a true ICU patient, they could just move me to the hallway but they assured me it would be ok. The ICU unit was amazing.
