My wife and I had taken our pets there for years and were pleased. However, Capeside started switching vets on us regularly and we felt like the individual vets didn't know each of our pet's histories because there was a new vet seeing them each time we went. That was confirmed when our black lab was given a powerful antibiotic when it was abundantly clear in his medical history that he suffered from GI issues. In 2015, we adopted a Dachshund, Darla, from Furever Friends and their partner, Capeside. Darla required surgery and Dr. Sheila Hanby aptly treated her then and through the years and helped Darla live to age 18. We were forced to put her down in March, 2023 when she could no longer walk. For the preceding year, Drs. Hanby and Jeff Phillips kept the sweet girl functioning and as much out of pain as we could. Darla's passing was devastating to us. I can't say enough good things about Capeside Animal Hospital and especially Alicia Lynn. She was very thorough, patient and knowledgeable in answering questions about my dog, a procedure and why certain shots were needed. You can tell she really cares and I have been very impressed with her professionalism as well as her caring attitude. My husband has been taking our dog into the office for visits and has also commented on how well run and friendly the staff is. It is very important to us to have a top notch vet as our dogs are part of our family and their health is a priority, it's great to know we have a partner in caring for them.
