5 Stars ---- My partner and I received training a few months ago with Tessa and my experience far exceeded expectations. We adopted our redbone coonhound a few years ago and was having trouble with reactivity and pulling on the leash. We live in an apartment complex and was told this is aggressive behavior although we had been consistently reassured by our vet and Tessa that it is not aggressive behavior but more of a response to anxiety and overstimulation. We went to Ruff Life as a exhausted effort to find some sort of solution. We did a package of sessions and each time, our pup and our confidence improved more and more. Although initially we started at the facility, most of our sessions were at our apartment or at a park. Tessa always met us prepared with treats and other dogs to support the training. She is professional, calm, and prompt. She informed us of what is happening when our dog would react and then show us how to correct the behavior. Needless to say, our sessions changed the game for the relationship we have with our pup. We were not just able to reduce the reactivity, but learned to feel more confident as pet parents. These sessions along with socializing at a doggy day camp has been the best thing for our pup. I highly recommend Tessa and RuffLife.
I cannot recommend Ruff Life enough! Our dogs have been boarded here, as well as their board and train program. The whole team is amazing and extremely knowledgeable. It’s so relieving to be able to go on vacation and know your dogs are in a safe space and are well taken care of. Absolutely send your dogs here!
