Derek is very patient, knowledgeable, and has a calming presence. He explained everything before beginning. I have tried a few other massage therapists in Asheville but he is the best.

This place is amazing. The combination massage was very much needed. I didn't realize how tight my body was until the session was over. I left feeling so much relief. I highly recommend. Thank you Derek

Derek the Bodyworker focuses on the individualized needs of the muscular system with therapeutic techniques such as medical massage, deep tissue massage, myofascial release, trigger point therapy, shiatsu (which means finger-pressure in Japanese), sports massage, Swedish massage, cupping, hot stone massage, and reflexology. Derek values bodywork as a whole and finds complementary and alternative medicine to be of vital importance in relation to massage therapy and how the muscles respond. As an LMBT, Derek is committed to therapy; in the mind, body, and soul. Derek is a graduate with an AAS degree in therapeutic massage from Southwestern Community College. Derek's practice is built on the principles of respect, hope, and love.
