I love getting my hair done by Rachel - I’ve gone to her twice now and I can honestly say she’s given me the two best haircuts I’ve ever had… she listened to exactly what I wanted and used her expertise to cut and layer my fine wavy hair. The products she uses are all natural and the color turned out beautifully! I’m so glad I found her and will be returning for as long as I’m in Asheville 🙌

It should also be known that the salon chairs are extremely comfortable, and parking is ample. 10/10 would recommend!

I've been looking for a stylist who knows what they're doing in terms of hair health and does a great cut. Rachel is that person! The dry haircut worked well for my fine, wavy hair and was good value for a salon cut. My haircuts at other salons have often felt rushed, like the blowout was the focus rather than the actual cut. With the dry cut, Rachel focuses on a careful cut and gives haircare pointers based on your needs. In terms of other services, the scalp treatment is a luxurious experience and gives insight into what you might want to switch up in terms of scalp care (which can be done at home, e.g. an exfoliating product that can be applied at home). Altogether, I've learned a lot and have enjoyed what feels like a mini spa trip every time I book with Rachel! She's a lovely, warm person, always explains what she's doing, and makes sure you're comfortable. Quick note because it was confusing to me: Botanics Beauty Lounge is Rachel's business, and Balm Salon is the service location (a salon where she and other independent stylists work). Balm Salon is a really nice space.

Rachel is a delight - such great energy! She is doing a great job, helping me grow out my short gray hair a bit. She is very talented - plus she listens well. I highly recommend her.
