“I highly recommend Dr. Crouch and Western Carolina Veterinary Surgery. In September 2025, he did a TPLO surgery on my 1 1/2 year old golden retriever who had a 90% CCL tear in her left knee. We are on week 8 post op and she is doing terrific. The recovery from this surgery is intense and long - 6 weeks very quiet followed by 6 weeks of slowly building muscle back followed by 6 to 12 weeks of getting the dog ready for run-around freedom. Dr. Crouch who has done thousands of these surgeries explained everything in detail ahead of time so that a layman could understand, answered all my questions, and empathized with what the human is also going through. He and his team were available during off hours to answer those anxious questions that always seem to come up when the office is closed. I have felt very heard and understood which helped me to give my dog a calm presence so she could heal. She stayed overnight after her surgery which I believe is common with his practice for this surgery. TPLO surgery is not an easy recovery - it’s very long. But to get my pup back on all fours running around with dog friends, I’m fine with that. Highly recommend!“
