Visiting from out of town and went in on an emergency visit. From the first phone call to seeing Dr. Doty, my experience couldn’t have been any better. You have a wonderful office.
First time being seen at the Pamlico office and it was great! Everyone was so welcoming and helpful.... From the Dr.'s assistant to Dr. Shawn to the lens assistant (Taylor). I highly recommend this office.
The exam went well, the doctor was great, but when I called back the next week to get my PD (pupillary distance), I was informed there was a separate fee for that measurement unless I purchased glasses at their office and I would have to make another appointment to get that measurement from them. When I questioned this practice, the receptionist became agitated, cut me off, and hung up on me. Wow. I'm not in the eye exam business, but I'm thinking that's not a real good way to treat patients.
