“I’m retired from healthcare from a 47 year career in Surgery, my long term partner had surgery there and had to stay overnight in the hospital. I was pleasantly surprised to receive such outstanding care. I wish I could remember the nurses name that received him after surgery, he was attentive and just did everything in his capacity to make the patient happy and comfortable, including getting him a pair of reading glasses which he had forgotten. I have worked with many nurses over the years but he exceeded every one. Even the care technician was very helpful, happy and a joyful person to spend time with. His evening staff was very attentive and made his stay very comfortable. I am aware that bad stories travel much faster and I really don’t do reviews but I had heard the hospital stories and have to disagree about Lexington hospital. We have been there 3-4 times with needing emergency care and they have done nothing but impressed me, he went in with chest pains and in less than 30 minutes labs done, chest X-ray, IV started, EKG complete and meds administered. On another visit, ambulance taken to hospital for a post operative bleed and he was flighted to Winston Salem under an hour. Impressive staff that I would have been proud to stand with in my career.
