My family recently had to use Main Street Veterinary Hospital for compassionate care for our cat, Linus. The team put our mind at ease and made a difficult situation much easier. We would definitely recommend and use this veterinary hospital again.

I would not recommend this vet even if you are in an emergency situation. He was extremely pushy and wouldn't listen to my concerns.
I brought one of my cats for a possible uti. He took my word for it, did no tests at all to check if that was the correct diagnosis. I had also discussed with him that money was a concern. He then turns around, give my cat a shot of antibiotics which I later found out was 120$!!! I wasn't asked if this was ok, I only had the opportunity to ask him what the shot was as he had the needle inside my cat...Im not even sure it was necessary as he also prescribed oral antibiotics, and did no tests to confirm the UTI.
I have nothing against alternative medicine, especially for myself, but im not sure these are proven or appropriate techniques for veterinary care. As my cat has a UTI, he made me buy a version of spanish flies from him in a liquid form, which to my knowledge CAUSES burning sensation while urinating and inflammation. When I asked about how this would actually help, he talked about the basis or alternative medicine, but did not mention a single thing about some evidence base studies. He just gave me a lecture about how the bottle shouldn't be stored anywhere near my microwave and electronics (huge red flag for me). This was also to be given to my cat only with spring, well or distilled water (another red flag for me as those are 3 vastly different things, and god forbid I use tap water).
My cat has had a UTI before and the total price for testing, consult and treatment was around 200$, which is very reasonable. This time, he pressured and forced me to get a bunch of other things, which brought my bill to 600$... For a UTI... And he had already given some of the expensive treatment to her, so it was too late to say no.
I usually am trusting of medical professionals as they are a lot more knowledgeable about their jobs than I ever will be. But everything about my conversation with him raised a red flag. I had an appointment for my other cat a week later and I immediately cancelled and got another vet. I am apparently not the first one to have an awful experience here, but I am hoping this review will make a few people make the right decision for their pets. All in all, if you think RFK is on to something, main street vet is the right place for you. Why need evidence based treatment when you have a white boomer pressure you into spending 600$ for some nonsense.

Our dogs have been clients for years, and have had procedures ranging from minor to major. The staff has always been understanding and kind. Dr Smith is knowledgeable, professional and compassionate. Our dogs highly recommend the Main street Veterinary Hospital!

Sadly very obviously they are in it for the money. I felt uncomfortable the numerous times I went in and spent a fortune only for my dog to get worse. He might be cheaper but there is a good reason. Very disappointed after leaving the last and FINAL time. Moving on to a more reliable vet
