This nail salon is quality like I have never had in Tallahassee before. I came in a half hour before close to get my nails taken off and a gel manicure and from the minute I walked in I was treated to excellent service. All the staff greets you with a friendly face and do their absolute best to accommodate. Andy in particular made my time at City Nails a treat. He was kind and cordial, speedy through the whole process while not sacrificing precision or quality. The salon itself is impressively clean, with delightful music, and no harsh overbearing smells that I’ve come to expect from a nail salon. “Since moving to Tallahassee, I have had several experiences with some of the nail salons in and around my neighborhood and many of those experiences were unpleasant as a person of color!

The unfortunate experience was that they didn’t make us feel welcome and treated me like I was a lower class person than a person who was paying for a service! Then the funny part is that they would say negative things about the customers not realizing that they were being recorded so that the conversations could be translated; to add insult to injury the services were often expensive and with very poor quality to boot!

However, after the last few negative experiences I had a great trip outside of the USA and so my autistic son pointed out this nail salon while we were walking to the bank!

I decided to give it a try and it was worth it, I didn’t feel like I was unwelcome in any way and the service was great ??! So much so that I am looking ? forward to going back to have my nails done for the second time around in the next few weeks!! I hope that they will continue to make all their customers feel welcome no matter there skin color etc., as you just never know who maybe walking through those doors of your business/businesses!!“
