We took the 1/2 day tour out to the dig sites and learned quite a lot about how to distinguish fossils from ordinary rocks. We learned about the local geology and where to find good spots to dig for fossils. Our guide was super knowledgeable, helpful, and friendly.
What a great trip! We did the full day dig and it was so much better than we could have imagined. The guides were amazing, knowledgeable, and hysterically funny. The dig itself was incredible. They took us to a working dig where we were able to work on helping to uncover known bones or to try on our own to locate new bones. Our group did both and ended up finding 3 new bone sites as well as make progress on a large bone that was only partially uncovered. Our personal group ranged from 43 years old to 75 and the day was enjoyable for all of us. We did the full day dig. They take a max of 10 people out but my trip ended up being just my party of 2 along with the 4 workers at the dig site. We also stopped fir ice cream and got a tour of the museum at the end of the day. Amazing experience and everybody was extremely knowledgeable and friendly
