When I brought my wedding dress to Jenna, it needed a LOT of work. I had originally purchased it too large, and then I went and lost another 20 pounds before the wedding! On top of that, the dress was nearly six inches too long (if not more!) even while wearing my stilettos.
And those were just the beginning of the alterations I wanted.
My dress had a corset back with a modesty panel behind the lacing, and I wanted half of that panel removed so more of my back would be visible. Jenna made that adjustment beautifully, giving me exactly the look I wanted without compromising the design of the dress.
The hem was an entirely different challenge. Because my gown had intricate lace detailing along the bottom, shortening it wasn't as simple as cutting off some fabric. Jenna had to carefully remove and reposition EVERY SINGLE PIECE of lace along the hem to preserve the original design. The amount of patience, precision, and skill that must have taken is incredible!
She also created a bustle for my enormous train that allowed me to move around and enjoy my reception without losing the beautiful shape of the dress. And because I was having a destination wedding in Costa Rica, she even helped make a video demonstrating how to bustle it so my mom and sister could do it correctly on the wedding day!
But beyond her incredible talent, Jenna is just an absolutely wonderful person.
She was so kind, patient, and sweet throughout the entire process. Every appointment was such a positive experience, and she made me feel like an absolute SUPERMODEL in my dress.
There is something so special about working with someone who not only knows exactly what they're doing but also makes you feel genuinely beautiful and excited about your wedding day.
By the time she was finished, my dress fit beautifully and looked exactly how I had envisioned it. You would never have guessed how much work had gone into making it fit me!
