Big Sky K9 is a dog training company located in Bozeman, Montana. They believe that training the owner is just as crucial as training the dog. Big Sky K9 focuses on helping owners better communicate with and understand their canine companions. They offer customized training programs to cater to the unique needs of every dog, regardless of breed, age, or issue. Whether it's addressing reactive, anxious, or aggressive behavior or teaching reliable off-leash obedience, Big Sky K9 is dedicated to helping dogs reach their full potential. One satisfied client, Sam, sent their Golden Retriever, Butter, to Big Sky K9 for two weeks. Before training, Butter had poor leash manners and was becoming selective with voice commands. Sam was concerned that Butter might lose his free spirit during training and was worried about the special collar his dog would have to wear. However, after two weeks, Butter became incredibly responsive to all commands, no longer needing a leash. The best part was that Butter retained his free spirit and happily wore his special collar daily. Sam was thrilled with the positive shift in Butter's skills in such a short time and highly recommends Big Sky K9. Another client, Lucy and Ethel's owner, sought Big Sky K9's help for their Golden Retrievers' manners and behavior modifications. Lucy was a severe leash puller, while Ethel was uncomfortable around new people. After two weeks of training, both dogs showed significant improvement. Their owners were trained as well, with Scott, their trainer, being patient, kind, and answering all their questions. The owners practiced daily to reinforce the core skills their dogs learned. They were pleased with the calmer household and more enjoyable walks. A third client, Badger's owner, was impressed with Big Sky K9's expertise and training methods. They appreciated the trainers' ability to identify Badger's insecurities and intelligence. They also liked the variety of training sites, including Murdock's, Lowe's, and other venues with traffic and high-intensity situations. Badger was given the opportunity to think through and process what she learned, with extensive praise for her achievements. We have had our Goose girl home for just about 24 hours and it is amazing the difference in her confidence level. From the inquiry phone call, to drop off to the pick up lessons there was no gap in communication. Our girl is just anxious, she has been snapped at a couple times that led to signs of reactivity and our biggest desire was for her to gain the confidence in herself while learning commands so we knew she would respond in a consistent manner. It was hard for us to be away from her for four weeks but the daily videos gave us a peak at her progress and we got to see she was doing well. My husband and I’s biggest fear is she would lose her personality through all of this and she 100% did not. I cannot recommend this team enough for helping Goose find her confidence but maintain her goofy & loving personality.
