Picayune Veterinary Clinic is a reliable and compassionate pet care provider in Picayune, MS. They offer a wide range of services, from wellness exams and surgical procedures to dental care and preventive medicine. The clinic is equipped with advanced technology, ensuring high-quality care for all pets. They prioritize building strong relationships with clients and their pets, striving to create a comfortable and stress-free environment.
For emergency situations, the clinic has demonstrated quick response times and exceptional care. They handle emergencies promptly and provide honest recommendations for treatment, allowing clients to make informed decisions for their pets. The clinic took a cat right in when barely breathing and on the brink of death, keeping her for 4 nights and providing updates. They also saw a pit bull that was vomiting and lethargic within 30 minutes of calling, treating him like family, running tests, explaining diagnosis, and providing medications, resulting in a full recovery within hours.
The staff is friendly and informative, making clients feel at ease during their visit. There is a nurse there that is like the cat lady times a hundred, and when this nurse has a fur baby in her paws, there is nothing to worry about. While some may prefer more interaction from the staff, the overall experience is positive. It is worth noting that, during spay/neuter procedures for strays, the clinic trims ears as necessary and returns the pets in the same carrier, which may contain blood marks. While this may be startling for some, it is a part of the procedure and can be addressed with the staff.
Overall, Picayune Veterinary Clinic is a trusted choice for pet owners, offering comprehensive care and a commitment to the well-being of all animals.
Dr. Heath and all the staff are fantastic. They have given excellent care to our Jackson over the years. Sadly we lost him earlier this week but we can’t say enough about Dr. Heath and his staff. Thank all of you so very much and God Bless all of you!!!
I’ve been going to Picayune Vets Office for almost 7 years now and they have been nothing but wonderful. The staff is always kind and will help you with all of your pets needs.
Dr Alex and the staff are amazing! We rescued a 13 year old dog in December 2025 from a situation where the owner was not capable of caring for him. When we saw him, he had no use of any legs. He had pressure ulcers to the bone on both sides of his shoulders. He was in so much pain and we honestly thought it was the end but we wanted to see if there was anything we could do for this sweet baby just to give him a little love and care. Any other vet may have said euthanasia would be best but she saw how much we wanted to try and she did everything she could to set us up for success. It was a very hard road but Buddy is doing so well!! She's compassionate, caring, and you… read full review
