As a woman who grew up going to a skating rink in my hometown every single weekend, this is such a great place! First, I love that this is a Christian establishment and that there is security so there's no funny business. It brought back so many memories for me. I'm looking forward to attending their homeschool days with my kiddos.
Always fun to try a new rink (well, new to me I should say), the floor was vintage back to early 1970s. Mostly a very young crowd on this Saturday as I was driving through Mississippi, but good to see kids just out enjoying themselves and a couple parents out on the floor too. Owner was very nice and this place had a live DJ with appropriate music for the crowd. One other guy about my age also appreciated a classic by Kurtis Blow, “The Breaks.” Plenty of skate rentals, snacks and food, video games, and private party rooms. It’s hard for me to give a completely objective review since this is one of the rinks I’ve visited the most over the past few years, and I come here with my kids every weekend when I’m in town.
The skate floor has a decent size, though there are a few spots that might need some attention. However, that doesn’t affect much the skating experience. The music is great, and the owner is an excellent DJ—I’ve found and added a few songs to my playlist thanks to him. The food is just okay—I think it could be better, especially the pizza.
