Everyone was so nice and treated us amazing along with our Lil Frenchie. I would recommend anyone to bring their pet there to be seen. My husband was very impressed with how we were taking care of while we were there. Everyone was very professional and personal easy to talk to and put us at ease when talking to us about our pup.

Worst experience possible. Only care about money.Told do MRI on weekend but after 4 hr drive told not possible on weekend. Told 6000 for all imaging, surgery, recovery ect. so sign credit card auth. Call in am says hopeless. 4 hrs back to find Rowdy strapped to board, tongue protruding & dry, miserable. While we were saying goodbye, hearts breaking they ask if we want to pay now!!! Once Rowdy is gone paid OVER 2200 for 17 hour stay with no treatment. MSU call Mon asking for additional 300 + dollars. Told refuse to send ashes unless we pay. But that part of bill was paid. Some other charge they say was left off bill. Two senior citizens losing our 7 year old dog Rowdy who was everything to us after driving 16 hours for nothing but Rowdy to suffer and die scared and in pain and now they refuse to send his ashes. My husband has alzheimers and Rowdy is gone. We feel we were lied to about everything they told us and did not care about Rowdy or us. We wish we had never gone there.

We were concerned by some of the non-5-star reviews that we might be consigning our fur baby Brindle to a grim fate by having the team at MSU CVM AHC work on his perineal hernia. But the hernia itself can become life-threatening, and it was gwtting worse, so what choice did we have, plus, our local vet (himself an MSU grad) said they were the best place to go as this kind of surgery is not common and they would have the expertise even he could not provide.
As it turned out, we could not be more relieved and pleased with the decision to bring Brindle to Starkville. Dr. Whitney did an amazing job with his surgery, complicated as it was, and Dr. Chang and intern Nicole Brewer were generous with their time, keeping us informed twice daily and taking care of our special pet through his painful recovery. They went the extra mile more than once to care for him, especially meaningful since we couldn't be there ourselves to advise. As of now, 30 days post-op, Brindle seems just fine, there have been no issues, he's healing up nicely and getting around better than ever, hernia-free. We are finally breathing more easily about his situation.
Yes, it's expensive, lots of people have complained about the price of care, and it would be great if the University could find a way to lower this cost. However, in truth, we got what we paid for, meaning our pup is going to be OK and we don't expect to see this problem again. Compared to what we were thinking we'd have to do - put him down - the cost of the whole event was well worth it. As skeptical and cynical as we are about most things these days, we - of necessity - put our faith in the team at MSU, and it was well rewarded. Thank you, Dr. Whitney, Dr. Chang and Ms. Brewer, you really came through for Brindle and for us. We have no hesitation recommending you and the AHC to anyone needing a superior level of help for a beloved pet.

100000/10 recommend this place to ANYONE. My poor dog had a freak accident resulting in breaking his femur and we were recommended to bring him here for surgery. During one of the most stressful and concerning times of my life they made me feel at ease by calling to update me throughout his whole time there. They let me know I can call them whenever even if Iโm just anxious or worried about him. I loved how they had students always checking and spending time with him during his recovery. You could tell my dog enjoyed being loved on by them. They made me feel confident taking him home and explaining his recovery and therapy. Couldnโt have asked for a better place to bring him during such a tragic time :( my sweet boy has recovered amazingly and is back to his active living. So so thankful for this vet.
