“The coaches had a great balance between positive attitude and genuine and helpful feedback. They give plenty of time to learn each move and never make you feel stupid for messing up. I’ve read a lot of the bad reviews, and it’s clear to me that those people either can’t handle the drive to improve or don’t know how to read a contract. Everyone in the gym was helpful and friendly especially the coach. They are also exceedingly transparent about payment and options.”

“Friends referred me to Black Sails and I’m so happy they did. The owner and instructors are awesome. They get to know each student’s skill level so they can teach at the right level for everyone and so when it’s time for drilling or sparring they can pair people up who will challenge each other safely. They are skilled teachers, and always put safety first. I’ve trained at many other gyms over the years where I’ve gotten injuries so I appreciate having really good training here without feeling like I’m going to get mangled lol
