Justin has been cutting my 12 year old son's hair since he was about 3-4 years old. Even when we moved away from the Coast, I would book when we'd visit. His skills are top tier, and my boy is always feeling real good after a fresh cut!
Angel did my son's starter locs/retwists (when we attempted the journey for about 8 months) and she has recently started doing my younger kiddos braids. Never any complaints from them about anything being too tight or any discomfort. Angel is very informative and always helps me with any hair related questions.

Well, let me share my exerience with Studio 601 Barbershop and Mr. Brian Newton. I moved to MS at the end of 2023 so I had to find a new everything, including a hair stylist. My hair is faded in places, needs hair trimmed in other places and I enjoy hair art. I had trouble finding someone who could do both. Then, I found 601 and Mr. Brian. I am not a person who is easily impressed. That being said, I can not say enough positive this about Mr. Brian. He is very polite, professional, intelligent with clearly business acumen and super, super talented. He free-hands my hair art design! I got a great cut from a skilled barber in an awesome atmosphere. The attention to detail was on point, and the vibe of the shop made the experience even better. Definitely recommend!
