American Karate in Wentzville, MO, has been a fantastic experience for our daughter. She has been attending for years, starting in the ninja program, and she has loved every part of the journey. Mr. Norton and Mr. Schneider are very knowledgeable, patient, and dedicated instructors who do an excellent job teaching karate, discipline, confidence, and respect. Their instruction is top-notch, and they genuinely care about helping each student grow both on and off the mat. We just love American Karate! They make classes fun while learning karate techniques, but they also instill a level of respect and teamwork not seen in some other sports we have been a part of. In fact, my older son gave up football to be a part of American Karate, after seeing how much fun his younger brother was having learning karate here! The instructors are a wonderful blend of kind, but firm. They also do a great job of facilitating a “family” environment by holding events outside of regular karate classes like Trunk-or-Treat, BBQs, and the like. My daughter started 2 years ago as a ninja and worked her way through the ninja program. She loves the instructors and the practice. We love the dojo because they are willing to work with our schedule when it comes to needing to miss a class due to other commitments. The entire American Karate team is very family orientated. Before starting with AK, we looked into different dojos and was basically told that our daughter would have to be in class twice a week, no exceptions. We discovered AK, met with Mr. Norton and started the next available ninja class. 2 years later, she is in youth karate and earned her 2nd yellow belt!
