About Gateway Refrigerated
Gateway Refrigerated is a reliable choice for reefer delivery, situated in a remote village with a large lot. The staff is friendly and efficient, with quick check-in and unloading times averaging around 1.5 to 2 hours. It is a small, out-of-the-way place with professional folks and a respectful quiet atmosphere. The location is easy to access by Missouri 47 off of i70, leading to a drop trailer lot above the cave area where trucks can park. Drivers can park on the left side after going down the hill and walk to the check-in door or use their CB radio on the posted channel. All docks are outside, and check-ins are done with paperwork while sitting in the truck. Unloading is straightforward with drivers backing into the door and waiting. After unloading, drivers can go back up the hill to complete paperwork and then leave the same way they entered, taking care on the rural road when turning back onto i70. Cell service is limited and not very strong, but there are bathrooms and vending machines at the check-in area. The location has a unique, somewhat mysterious vibe, with some drivers joking about underground food storage near a military training camp. Travelers are advised to download all necessary food, load info, navigation, and entertainment before arriving since cell service is not reliable. The staff is helpful, and despite connectivity issues, many drivers appreciate the smooth operations and plan to return when possible.
Morning drivers!
Take Missouri 47 off of i70 to Quarry road (there's a sign on the right that says 1000ft and then a big one on the left marking the road).
Go down this road all the way to the end.
Right hand side above the cave area is a drop trailer lot you can park in.
Go down the hill and to the left, park on the left hand side and walk to the check in door (door on the left), or turn your CB radio to the posted channel.
This is NOT an inside cave backing area. All docks are outside like normal.
Check in with paperwork. Sit in truck.
Get door, open trailer, back in and wait.
After you're done unloading, you can go back up the hill to do paperwork.

You won’t have service on the phone. Nice people though.
Had my tin foil hat tingling. Is this where the underground food storage is? It next to a military training camp. Crazy new experience delivering here.
DRIVERS, have all your food, load info, navigation, and movies download before you get there as it's no cell service! I went to check in at shipping and receiving, but it was locked, because it was after 3pm. The sign on the S&R door tells drivers to check in at door #17 after 3pm. (They give you a number to call, but again no signal down there). Went inside (pretty chilly) called the ext. on the phone inside the caged area, but no answer. 30 seconds later someone saw me waiting and checked me in. They said the loads are normally precooled to 0°F or below. They tooke 40mins to start loading me but I was done in 30mins. Hope this helps.
