    Village Music is truly a hidden gem—literally. Tucked away behind a large cedar tree, it’s easy to miss if you’re not looking closely. But once you find it, you’ll be glad you did.

    The shop is run by a retired gentleman who operates on his own schedule, so don’t expect regular hours. It’s best to call ahead or just drop by and hope he’s there. He may be hard of hearing in conversation, but his ear for music is still sharp as ever.

    I inherited my Grandad's guitar a little over a year and a half ago. It wasn't in terrible shape, but one could tell it was far from new. While I haven't seen the finished results yet, as he is still working on the restoration, the knowledge and detail that he was able to share about that old Kay guitar was worth alot to me. My Grandad bought it new and has been the only owner until it became mine. I was pleasantly surprised with the man I dealt with as he was a straight shooter with everything and seemed very passionate about not only his instruments, but those of his customers as well.     We are locals and sought harmonica and fiddle lessons for our son. He goes one day a week for a great price. Our son enjoys his and so do we. He’s very knowledgeable and laid back, and genuinely enjoys seeing kids learn.
