For the past couple times I've gone to this American Cleaners there have has been an older lady with blondish, grey hair with a harsh heavy voice that's been there either taking in clothes are getting orders that has complained terribly and made all the customers there feel uncomfortable. This past Saturday I went in to pick up clothes and again she was there complaining, the card machine didn't work, and customers were standing around waiting on her because while she complains she takes her time servicing the customers. Someone else needs to be left there after a certain time to help the customers because if not I may go to another area cleaners as I'm sure other customers...read full review

A basic dry cleaning store that runs weekly coupons near my home so I dropped off my winter coat. It needed to be cleaned because I purchased a white scarf that shed all over my black coat. There were also a couple of small places where food was dropped on the collar. The coat looked pretty good through the plastic, but when I got it home, there was still a spot with food crusted on it (not a stain), and there was still a fair amount of lint present from my white scarf. What really confused me was what appeared to be dog fur or cat hair. I'm allergic to both, so I can tell you that I didn't drop it off with animal hair on it. Strange.

I know of someone who works at American Cleaners and i read most of these reviews in horror. I know they work hard in higher than 100 degree weather in the summer, and less than 30 degree temps in the winter. GIVE THEM A BREAK. ESPECIALLY the counter girls. They do not clean your items. They simply take your order, tag the order, then pick it up and ring it out for you. So please also cut the ladies some slack when they do not accept debit/ credit card, this is why they do not add taxes on any of their prices. Their company is very old school and there is nothing the counter girls can do.
Another complaint i read was about was the "clamp marks" or "broken buttons"...read full review
