We were lucky to find Schei Home Building to build our dream home. We bought property with a house that was destroyed in a tragic fire so they arranged the demolition and worked with us in the development of a design for our new home. We worked closely with Mark Scheipeter and his team throughout the construction. They recommended sources for the many selections during the process but gave us the latitude to discover our own sources as well and were upfront on the cost of all choices. Mark and his team took over at the tail end of the construction with our new home and have been great to work with! In an industry where it is a rarity, Mark and his team truly care about the work they are doing and take the time to get to know their customers! Everyone we encountered was very friendly, respectful of our home, and knowledgeable about their craft. You can tell they all genuinely care about their work and it comes across in every interaction! After our home was completed Mark and his team did several exterior projects for us and we are looking forward to having them finish our basement as well. I have engaged SHB to develop 5 homes in St. Louis, with more in the pipeline. My experience is that they build a great home. SHB is a full-service GC and builder; meaning, they handle everything for you. This includes design/architecture, budgeting/bidding, permits, inspections, construction, loan draw requests, and more. They have extensive residential home building experience and vast knowledge of building codes in multiple municipalities.
