I rented at two Mills properties over the years. Generally, my experiences were unremarkable, save for one issue: after one Missouri tenancy ended, they failed to return my security deposit within the 30-day legal deadline. It was withheld for over 60 days.
At that point, they were eligible for a 200% statutory penalty, but I wasn’t about to waste even more time and a morning in court (or more likely, I'd be waiting around for a settlement) over a measly $250.
Ultimately, an unflattering review was what got me my money back.

Rent constantly INCREASING yet they move just anything in here. I’ve been here almost three years and it has never been this bad. Lazy people won’t even put their trash in the dumpsters, there’s no maintenance to keep the grounds clean. I won’t even address the snow we experienced beginning of January yesterday was the first day I didn’t have to ice skate to my car due to walks ways not being treated.

I’ve worked for Mills for 9 years. With the exception of 6 months where I made the mistake of going to another company. I didn’t realize how good I had it until I left. I came crawling back and they accepted me with open arms. An awesome company that finds new ways to give back to their employees every single year!
