    Things are slowly improving. The Doctors and Nurses are professionals. The ancillary staff are getting better. To day I experienced my first negative encounter. A surely phlebotomist with a very negative attitude. She seemed to hate her job and patients. She can be identified by her blue hairbun. She should think about a career change and JCVAMC should help her out the door. Employees like her are the cause for the VA bad image.

    I have had nothing but excellent service from this Veterans Administration Medical Facility. My appointments were always on time, wait times were short unless I arrive too early. The little shoppette has a limited stock but does have essentials for drinks and snacks. There are some clothing items, some housewares, and a few essential electronics. The cafeteria isn't bad, decent variety, prices aren't horrible. There's also a Starbucks in the main entrance area, perfect for getting my latte on the way out lol

    On behalf of my family, I want to thank everyone at Veterans Administration who helped me get medical assistance for my husband Ivan Mike Bennett (9-23-42), who passed away Oct 27, 2024. I kept Mike at home until two weeks before he passed. He was moved to BJC Progress Hospital and then moved to Aegis Health and Rehab Center for continued hospice care.. Everyone treated him with respect and supported me and our daughter with care. The only negative comment I have to offer is the VA needs to establish a contract with nursing homes in St. Charles. The St. Charles medical office recently moved into a larger office, so the need for veteran services is there. It just needs...read full review
