Claris Advisors LLC
“I connected with Claris Advisors to help me with implementing a special type of retirement plan for my company (called a “cash balance plan”). It’s a complicated plan to set up because it doesn’t always make sense for a company financially, based on many different factors. After having a bad experience with a different firm that only seemed interested in selling me on implementation without crunching the numbers to see if it truly made sense, interacting with Scott Iverson at Claris Advisors was like a breath of fresh air.
He didn’t try to pressure me at all. He took his time to gather all the facts and run the calculations to see if it actually made sense for me and my business. When he finished his analysis, he concluded that it indeed did not make sense for me and suggested that I wait to implement a plan at a later date, giving me the rough parameters of when/how a cash balance plan would make sense for me.
I really appreciated that he gave me his honest opinion, even though it meant that I wouldn’t become a customer of his. That, to me, is a sign that Claris Advisors is a great company and worth working with.
Scott’s integrity and thoroughness stood out to me, and his willingness to prioritize my best interests over his own business goals is a rare quality. I would not hesitate to recommend Claris Advisors to anyone looking for trustworthy, knowledgeable guidance when it comes to retirement planning or any other financial services. When the time comes for me to revisit the idea of a cash balance plan—or other financial strategies—I know exactly who I’ll call.”
