I first started going to Jimmy Bowen in 1975. As a matter of fact, I was in the 6th grade when I walked through his doors alone. At this time, his barber shop was located on Kingshighway--- close to Delmar!

When I went off to college I would still come home and go directly to Jimmy barber shop. We had so many great meaningful conversation. His voice was smooth and mellow but his knowledge was bigger than life!

Yesssirrrr, Jimmy was more than a barber, he was my mentor, my role model, and my friend. I've lived in Chicago since 1990 and I'll still call Jimmy just to say hello.

I have been a Psychotherapist for 25+ years! At the time, Jimmy was my Psychotherapist!

The service is great, and the stylists great. If consistency is what you want, they can recreate your previous haircut. If you want something different, they can sculpt masterpieces out of hair.

I went in with a gentleman he came out a superstar she cut the mess out of my boo hair not tryna toot n t ones horn but the lady bad I saw her work I rode with it hung with it baby girl I'll get an edge up next trip for sure NOT TO MENTION MY LIL SUPER HERO WHO HELPED WITH MY CARS BODY OUTSIDE OF THE BARBERSHOP ? GOOD PPL ALL AROUND
