Now a machine shop. Run by several older fellas. Went in to get a custom built bushing. Told him I was a 3rd party contractor working on something for the city. He charged 1/10th price I expected. When I asked why it was so cheap he said, “if I keep it cheap it’s my little way of giving back to the people of the city”. Asked at 4 PM and was ready by 10 AM the next morning. Worked exactly as I needed and was all to spec.
