I really liked Dr Jennifer O'Malley - she was kind, friendly, and took her time listening during appointments. She seems really smart! I never had any issue with her directly and wish her well.
Unfortunately, a physician is only as good as their staff and her staff at Phelps Health in St James were constantly causing me a headache. I couldn't get them to do the most basic aspects of their jobs right!
Every referral or medical supply order that was supposed to be sent would never arrive. Prescriptions wouldn't get sent to the pharmacy correctly and/or on time. Messages and phone calls went unanswered. Appointments weren't... read full review

I was using Dr.Barnett at Mercy for years and switched back in October to Dr. Jennifer O’Malley through Phelps Health in St.James. It is most definitely worth the drive. I have not encountered one person Having a bad day and just being short even. I also have the app on my phone to communicate through that if needed and to see all test results and notes on my file after any appointment. It would take ALOT to make me switch lol! I couldn’t be happier with the staff or Doctor herself. She is there because she wants to be, not for a paycheck, and not just “following protocol, she genuinely cares

She doesn’t really care about her patients. She is extremely nice for sure. But that is where it all ends. If you are really sick or need help, she refuses to see you and they will book you for months later. You’ll end up going to nurse practitioners (walk-ins). What’s the benefit of having a primary care when you have no access to her when you need her the most? Even when you message her, she doesn’t care and her staff will give you a general comment. I have been struggling with a serious disease for a month with several ER visits and visits to other doctors and yet, she hasn’t seen me. She just doesn’t care that much.
