This woman should have business lining up out the door. I get massages typically monthly in LA and found myself needing one on my travels to KC. My last trip here I called three places and no one got back to me. So this time I called Paula and booked it next day. She is located inside a lovely salon (Salon Ritz) cottage in Independence. The room is spacious and nicely adorned. The room was a bit cool but the table is heated so I was perfectly toasty - ready to fall asleep. I am used to deep tissue/sports and she did not disappoint. She provides a great deal of even, consistent pressure and worked on my neck pain. I fell in and out of sleep for 60 wonderful minutes. Like the other review, I also appreciated that she didn't talk during the massage. I wish she had a website but then she would be more popular and I couldn't get a next day appointment!

Paula is hands down the best masseuse I've been to. I have had issues with chronic shoulder and neck pain that no chiropractor, acupuncturist, or other masseuse has been able to alleviate. I've noticed that after I visit Paula, after she works out the multitude of knots that have accumulated in my upper back, shoulders, and arms, it's as if she has freed up my body's innate ability to heal itself, as it jumpstarts what seems like a stopped/plugged up ability of my body to heal that occurs when I operated for too long in major stress mode.. "Healing Hands" is great description for Paula's work. NOTE: She also doesn't talk through the entire massage, like some masseuses do, which I think is totally odd and disruptive of my process of relaxing into the massage. She is personable at the beginning and after the massage but speaks only to make sure I'm doing ok. I live in Kansas but make the drive to MO just to experience this woman work miracles.
