If you’re looking for a realistic American style wooden train on your layout this is the company shipping sometimes takes a long time, but this is because the trains are handcrafted and are very popular. I highly recommend the Amtrak sets and any freight sets. Well worth the wait and price.

Whittle Shortline creates absolutely wonderful trains, whether bought secondhand, or directly from the factory. The toys are handcrafted home in the USA, and faithfully re-create real life trains and rollingstock. While prices are high and shipping may take a while, I haven’t had a problem with the products or the customer service. Colleen from Whittle is a very nice person to do business with, and has responded to all of my Emails. They are sure to provide info about orders and other help.
