In what was a tough time for me and my family the people at freeman monument made it much easier on us. I can only imagine what it must be like in their business to see almost all of their customers at one of the worst times in their life but the folks at freeman monument went above and beyond to make us feel comfortable and work through the decision-making process in an unpressured environment.

Freeman Monument Company was established in 1967 by Bill Vergouven, who was trained as a granite cutter in his native Germany. He came to the United States in 1939 at the age of 19. The company is now owned by his son, Doug Vergouven, who has been involved with all facets of monument design since his teenage years.
