Miss Lee is always hard at work when we come by . Her work is wonderful and is so much more inexpensive than Brentwood alterations . Although her English may not be the best , she tries her hardest and one has to think how difficult it would be for us who speak English to learn how to speak her language . This is something that we should keep in mind .

The finished product was perfect. With that said, I was extremely disappointed by the mid 20th century business practices. When I dropped my garment off, I was told "cash or check only". I was like HUH??? I only had $10 in cash on me for a $16 bill (must pay on advance). She settled on the $10 with the promise of paying the balance upon pickup. Having my phone number, I was told that I would be notified when the garment was ready.After hearing nothing for a month, I stopped by to see what the delay was. After three visits to this establishment near Old Town Florissant I feel qualified to write a review. Ms. Lee's Alterations is a stand-alone building near Fritz's and the Old Town Donut Shop. If you like quirky this is your place. Ms. Lee is almost continually on the phone chatting away in her native tongue. She has a brusque manner and tersely rebuffed my efforts to haggle. As to her craftsmanship, I've had three pieces tailored. One was an old suit jacket, another was a pair of pants, and the last was a dress for my daughter-in-law.
