I bought my Smith Level back in around 1972. I used it building homes for 45+ years. I think at the time it cost around a $100.00. It looks like the day I bought it. Worth every penny I paid for it.

These levels are priceless. If you treat them as they should be the quality of your work will be as good as it gets. That is if you can read a level. It's not a toy. You should respect it and keep it oiled and in a protected cover and not treat it any less than you would your most valuable asset. It will be good as long as you have it.
