I had a very pleasant experience at this establishment. Staff were friendly, welcoming, and very understanding. Dr Sappington did an incredible job explaining things and providing recommendations. There is a $55 booking fee which is applied to the visit afterwards and they were transparent about pricing. I will be coming back here. Thank you for making this a welcoming environment.

I love how they approach and treat my animals. They are always thorough with their exams and give me all the options/treatments available.

Awesome staff. I have a very nervous and anxious dog. The entire staff was accommodating. The vet and nurses were extremely patient and took the time to make my dog comfortable. 10/10 recommend .

Taking 4 days to answer any kind of question about a possibly fatal animal , is un acceptable. It should not matter where I live or who resides where, even though it was clearly & I mean EXTREMELY CLEARLY explained in my online question for your clinic that I was allowed to ask. You offered the service and then took 4 days to even attempt to answer a very serious question about a beautiful family pet that has now died . Thank you for also sending me through a very detailed questineer that immediately charged me $6.00 for using it to try to get an answer or God forbid compassion out of you.I hate this this is my birthday and now your long awaited call has tried to ruin it. Yes I know I called an animal clinic in Columbia, MO. bc that is where my daughter and her little family love to live. I was the grandma to family pet , Millie , whom deserved a lot more out of alot of people.

Our dogs have received excellent care at Rock Bridge for 10 years. Dr. Forbes, Dr. Sappington and Dr. Gottman are great at educating my husband and I on options for treatment for any and all issues (and they’ve gotten us through some big ones). They’re wonderful and never make visits feel rushed even when my senior dog is super grumpy about getting blood taken and needs extra time and TLC. The biggest thing that sets this place apart for my dogs specifically is that it is fear free. They take extra care to ensure that two patients are never in the reception area at the same time - which if you have reactive dogs is a total game changer! They use cheese, peanut butter and if needed, special wet food for pets with allergies to help make the visit go smoothly and keep my dogs looking forward to seeing them. The front desk staff, techs and vets all are so pleasant and friendly to humans and animals alike. My dogs are not afraid at the vet at all and I so, so appreciate that. My older dog is 13 years old and still in really good health thanks to regular senior wellness checks and appropriate recommendations. We are so thankful this veterinary practice is in our town!

This vet office has been incredibly insensitive and unprofessional, especially toward pitbulls, German shepherds, and other breeds they stereotype as “problematic.” It is disappointing to see a veterinary practice show such bias when all pets deserve compassionate care. Why even be in this business at all? It is just so weird.
What’s even more concerning is how the office responds to criticism. Rather than listening, investigating, or apologizing for negative experiences, they seem more focused on fighting reviews for Sappington. (Wendy Forbes, I am speaking directly to your approach here.) This behavior comes across as defensive and dismissive, rather than accountable.
Overall, Sappington has been one of the most disappointing veterinarians I’ve encountered. For anyone with a so-called “stereotyped” breed, I would strongly recommend looking elsewhere for care that is respectful, professional, and compassionate.

Absolute best! Genuinely care about their patients and have always been extremely responsive to my phone calls <3 we love them dearly and can't dream of going to any other vets everrrr!

This vet clinic is amazing! The entire staff treats my dog very well and they are very understanding of your pets personal needs when it comes to stressful events like vet visits. They go over and beyond my expectations and I’m so thankful I chose Rockbridge Animal Hospital as my vet clinic for my anxious dog! I recommend this place to everyone with animals! 10/10 service and care. My dog always leave happy and belly full of treats!

This veterinary office is truly amazing! My dog who went there recently passed away and they sent me the sweetest little card with notes from all the staff and a picture of my sweet fur baby!! That truly made my day I can’t thank them enough for giving my girl the best care ever!
