About Planet Fitness
Planet Fitness is a terrific gym located on Nifong Blvd in Columbia, MO, offering Big Fitness Energy™. It features a great variety of equipment for cardio, core, and weights, both machines and free weights. The gym is known for its cleanliness, with staff members actively cleaning and providing a welcoming atmosphere for everyone. Many members appreciate the value of the Black Card membership, which offers access to clean facilities, red light therapy, and water massage chairs. The staff is friendly and helpful, and the manager is consistently present and proactive. While it can get busy during peak hours, the gym remains an excellent choice for those looking to stay active in a supportive environment.
Growing up I used other gyms, but recently I moved to the southside. I decided that Planet Fitness would be the best choice for me distance and price wise.
Turns out I was right, and I have been pleasantly surprised. Always had it in my head that PF was not for the professional gym goers like myself, but I see plenty of others there. We come in do our work, and have a clean environment to do it.
In the last month and half I have been going here I have gone 58 times, as per my handy PF app they came out with.

I've been a member for over a year now and Planet Fitness has been one of the better values I spend my money on each month. Many gyms I've been a member of in the past, the staff act like you're an inconvenience, particularly if you're not one of the befriended regulars. So far, I've yet to have a less-than-stellar experience with the staff. They're always friendly and treat you like a welcomed member. They acknowledge you when you're leaving and say goodbye. When you ask for help, they're happy (or great at acting) to assist. Also, despite being busy sometimes, you can usually get access to the equipment you need if not immediately, after a very short wait.
I love Planet Fitness! The staff are always pleasant, there’s lots of great equipment, and the black card area is great! Free tanning, massage tables, etc. I’ve never had to wait on a piece of equipment. It’s such a fantastic deal!
