Dr. Vladimir Gelfand M.D. was found guilty by a jury of medical malpractice in January 2024 for over prescribing opioid narcotics that resulted in opioid addiction and subsequent injury to his patient. Gelfand prescribed opioid narcotics (including fentanyl) for ten years without proper patient assessment, patient monitoring of opioid use, misuse and when Dr. Gelfand was confronted by a colleague of the opioid problem Dr. Gelfand abandoned his patient after a ten year relationship knowing that his patient would perish. Patient filed a medical malpractice complaint against Dr. Gelfand and prevailed at trial with a jury verdict against Dr. Gelfand. So glad I waited to get an appointment here after my doctor retired. Love this place! Love my new doctor, Jennifer Snyder and the NP, Nicole Burdge. Really like the MyPatientChart for so many things on-line. They seem to really listen and care about your concerns. Wow! LOVE THIS PLACE!

I have been visited Dr.Gelfand few times about 7 years ago, back then he was good and reliable, helped me solve a couple of issues with my health. But recently about a month ago it changed dramatically, I visited with a hope that he'll help me with my issue, but he couldn't care less about it, doesn't even bothered to ask some details, sprayed my toe with some liquid and sent me to quest diagnostics and later on I got a bill from them saying that doctor performed a surgery on me. Horrible service, waste of money and tim.

Dr Gelfand is an amazing doctor! This is the doctor you want. He is very kind and will work with you. He and his staff are very professional. He is very considerate to what you are going through and wants to do the absolute best to help you. If you are trying to find a doctor , you must see him

Ive been a patient of his for 8 years and this will be the last. Double books patients, so expect to be waiting in room for at least 1.5 hours. Last time, I left after an hour of waiting but have waited 2 hours before! Doesn't care about patients health at all. Doesn't ask questions, doesn't explain anything either. He gets paid by quest for amount of blood work done (so expect a lot), and overcharges insurance companies. Do your body a favor a choose elsewhere!

Great diagnosticians, listeners. Drs. Gelfand and Gelfand are leaders in their field and my first visit with Dr. J Gelfand was wonderful. She was compassionate and able to make sense of many aspects of my situation. Grateful. Healthcare is complicated and everyone needs good advocates like Chesterfield Medical Center!
