“I love this place. It’s really nice if you’re someone that is a little bit older or perhaps not in the world’s best shape. You don’t feel out of place or embarrassed at all. It’s not loud, the people were friendly and I’ve always found it to be exceptionally clean. Wide variety of machines for whatever you want to do as well as aerobic equipment for everyone from a beginner to more advanced. I belonged for years, moved away, and then returned and rejoined. Give it a try!“

“This review is for the counseling services department specifically, regarding my visit in February 2020.I was seen by the Crisis Counselor for ~25m when I said I was having acute suicidal feelings. She didn't do anything to try to manage this during our time, just asked a lot bout my life in general. The main counselors were all booked out, so I would only be able to be seen by her and only if it was a Crisis, so I didn't end up coming back. But I understand that they are working with a limited budget, and provide these services for free to students, which is very appreciated.However, the secretary (Kyle, I believe) was AWESOME! He was so friendly and compassionate. I felt so much happier after chatting with him for just a couple minutes. He also corrected two other staff members who repeatedly used the wrong name and pronouns for me, despite me writing it boldly across the top of every form I was given and him entering my preferred name in their system. He is a wonderful asset to SEMO's LGBTQ+ community, and our campus as a whole. Thank you, Kyle!“
