I have had such wonderful interactions with Sunset. I was surprised by the low review.
My family were also concerned about the the low soil level immediately after burial. I came to understand this was part of the settling process to ensure a headstone (which is a considerable weight) would not sink or tilt. And ours has not moved at all.
It can be such a foreign and difficult process at a sensitive time
The majority of the landscaping/maintenance staff have considerable tenure and are wonderful. And yes, my mom has always maintained/trimmed a little extra for a personal touch.

The staff is accommodating. There are two separate offices, one for sales and another for administration. I have experienced both. The sales office is very compassionate and speaks clearly about options. The administration office, which I have experienced multiple times over the course of 1.5 years, has been very organized in every detail of the process. Specifically, in regard to stone placement, which does not happen overnight due to suppliers, they were able to give me status whenever I asked. They have a great program for buying a wreath at Christmas time. Upon request, they will purchase, place and then later discard the wreath, which is very pretty.
The office staff is very friendly and helpful. There are two offices. One for sales and one for all other administration. I went to the sales office the first time looking for grave location information. The staff there helped with my immediate need, but also informed me that if I needed any other help, the administration office would have more info. I did require additional assistance with a grave marker question and went to the administration office. The woman that helped me was so kind and patient with me and my questions.
