I love going to lifetime, I’ve been member for 2 years now , I used to go to Saint Paul one, that was nicer for the space, however this has so many amenities like the cold plunge (I was paying outside more because that was not on the Saint Paul gym, or in many other gyms) and I think is awesome. I’ve been going to classes and they have been great! I love Lisa she does barbell lift class and she has such a great personality. The staff is nice. No complaints. If you want basic stuff then pay a cheap gym membership in other place, but if you want to use all the services like pool, hot tub, cold plunge, sauna, steam room, and hundreds of classes, they have it all! I love you lifetime 💕

I use to live in Woodbury and came to this location and it was great at the time but moved to lakeville now and came back here to check it out and it was disappointing to see how it was taken care of. The most frustrating thing was how dirty it was, especially in the pool area the floor was disgusting. The staff was nice but this place needs some work.

I’m gonna leave my most genuine review here, I’m not even gon use chatgbt or anything bc I see the new accounts that are obviously ai and either botted or lifetime made these recent 5 star reviews, reason I know they are fake because the accounts a fresh made. I’m not gonna lie I am on a different account because I want to stay anonymous but this gym ever since the courts closed the place has gone bad. I understand you gotta be respectful about the hours and employees have to clean up but realistically employees aren’t getting out at exactly 11 pm they still have to do work behind the scenes which I appreciate, I’m not trying to call out anybody but especially night shift workers are very passive aggressive, I’m not saying all of the employees aren’t rude but a good amount are, the reviews you guys see today from like 2 years to now or mostly bad reviews I wonder why? I’m just really saying, old workers were chill that just naturally have the customers respect employees but if you are rude, this causes tension and not a welcoming feeling.

There is something special about the Life Time in Woodbury. As one of the original locations, it has a classic, established feel that sets it apart from the newer clubs. While the facility is a bit older, it is exceptionally well-maintained and offers a comprehensive range of options that truly cater to everyone—regardless of where you are in your fitness journey.
The standout feature of this location, however, is the night staff. They are consistently helpful, kind, and professional. In particular, Noelle is a true asset to the team. She always has a genuine smile on her face and works tirelessly, whether she’s keeping the facility spotless or going out of her way to help members. Her positive energy is infectious and makes every visit better.
It is disheartening to see some members treat the staff with entitlement or unkindness. Despite occasionally dealing with rude behavior from others, the team here remains gracious and dedicated. They deserve a lot of credit for maintaining such a welcoming environment. If you’re looking for a gym with great variety and a staff that actually cares, this is the spot.

I’m honestly really disappointed with how much Life Time Woodbury has gone downhill. A few years ago, this gym was genuinely one of the best in the area. The staff was more professional, the facility was cleaner, and the overall atmosphere felt much more welcoming. Compared to how it was 3–4 years ago, the difference is very noticeable and not in a good way. The biggest issue is the staff. Most of them come across as rude, dismissive, and passive aggressive, especially compared to how friendly and helpful the team used to be. The front desk staff are usually chill and respectful, but beyond that, the overall customer service has gotten much worse. One of the most unacceptable experiences I’ve had was with a worker Noelle. She has been rude and passive aggressive multiple times, but the worst was when she came into the men’s locker room at 11:05 PM. I understand the locker room closes at 11:00, but there were still several people inside changing, including kids. That was completely inappropriate and unprofessional. There should have been a better way to handle closing than walking directly into the men’s locker room while people were still changing. On top of that, the staff constantly shuts things down early. The showers are often closed before they’re supposed to be, and it feels like they’re always trying to rush people out before the posted closing time. That kind of behavior makes the gym feel poorly managed and frustrating to use. The facility itself has also declined. It doesn’t feel nearly as clean as it used to, parts of it are visibly dirty, and the showers smell horrible. For the price people pay to come here, the quality and upkeep should be much better. Life Time in Woodbury used to feel worth the membership. Now it feels like standards have dropped across the board cleanliness, professionalism, and customer experience. It’s frustrating to see how much worse it has become.

Giving this place 1 star based on the price alone. Never been here and probably never will after reading all the reviews too. I don't care how much money you make, nobody should have to pay $180/month for a gym membership. Just go to a cheaper gym, buy some free weights, go outside, or learn to develop better eating habits. Don't waste your money.

We have been a member for a few years and it is to the point were we cannot even get a parking spot let along a machine. Lifetime ruined it when they stopped doing capacity. They have lost long term gym members because we can never use our membership. For $270 a month, you'd think you could atleast get a shower or a machine to use. We will not be coming back to this lifetime and possibly any lifetimes. We are very frusterated and when we called about this, we were essentially told to deal and that we got $10 off from the new members... okay wow thanks... NOT. Waste of money.

This Life Time facility is BEYOND DISAPPOINTING. I was born and raised in Minnesota. I go to many Life Time facilities out of state. I was SHOCKED to see how deplorable and run down this establishment is. The sauna is DISGUSTING. First of all. The fact that the sauna is co-ed is just so shocking to me. Out of state, all of the Life Time facilities I've been to are NOT co-ed. The sauna in Woodbury smells like a sweaty men's locker room! I left as soon as I entered. I can't believe people are actually sitting in there and tolerating the stench. The other Life Time facilities I've been to have beautiful, clean, well lit, and nice smelling facilities.
In terms of friendliness, the staff is hit or miss. Sometimes they're nice, sometimes they're not. Meaning, sometimes they're super friendly when you scan your membership, sometimes they're not. Sometimes they say goodbye when you leave, sometimes they don't. Locker rooms also need to be updated. The machines are up to date though, and the area upstairs is nice. The cafe is a JOKE. I'm telling you all, other facilities are waaaaaay better than this.
I've read that the Edina one is nicer, maybe I'll check that out.
Update: You all.. I have been to the Edina one. IT-IS-GLORIOUS. It is magnificent. It is literally like being in Marshall Field's or Nordrstom, but in the form of a gym. They have THREE Saunas. A male and female one in each locker room, and then one by the pools. All of saunas are aesthetically pleasing. And they smell AMAZING. The ambience is amazing..beautiful dim lights with a glow. SOOOO aesthetically pleasing. The employees are super friendly. The upstairs area has a beautiful rooftop view. LOTS AND LOTS of space and machines. Beautiful outdoor pool. The cafe is HUGE. The Spa is HUGE. Steam rooms are clean. The locker rooms. OMG.THE LOCKER ROOMS ARE SOOOOOO GLAMOROUS. The showers give you the choice of a rainfall shower or a standard shower. SUPER CLEAN. Marble everywhere. The locker rooms look NOTHING like the locker rooms at any Life Time I've been to, to be honest. Hair Dryers are ALL brand name. Why don't we have this in Woodbury?
