I have been taking my Boston Terrier to Leah at Haute Dog for a few years for nail clipping. She is very gentle with him and I love how she talks to him! Only dog I've ever had who needs his nails clipped at all, much less every 4 weeks--glad I found the right place to take him--thank you!

Brought my 9 year old pup here for the first time to see Lizzy. She was in desperate need of a groom after a trip to the lake and Lizzy did an outstanding job with her! Very friendly and inviting environment with exceptional grooming. Definitely will be back to see Lizzy again!

This is my second time taking my dog to the Haute. She's a little over 1 year old. The first time the groomer has a hard time keeping her still. So this time I gave her something to settle her down. Hopping this would help. A couple of days after the grooming, I noticed 2 cuts on her cheeks . Nothing was mentioned when I picked her up about this. I am very disappointed and don't think I will go back there again.
I think if the groomer would have told about these sores when I picked up. I wouldn't be so mad. Because I realize she can be a handful and accidents happen.

We have been going to Haute for 3 years my little baby has been cut twice. First time I said please tell me I understand mistakes happen the denied it I took pictures I brought him back there right after. They still denied it. The second time they hit a grow he has on his leg it was bothering my baby he licked it a lot. I never bothered calling. When I brought him to be groomed this week he didn’t want to go in his tail between his legs I should have listened to him and left. I told Leah that is how he was feeling I told her he must remember being hurt the last time he was here. She was not kind/nice just ignored me. I got a call a few minutes later to pick him up said they were concerned about soap getting into. I can’t believe they cut him and won’t wash him. Please don’t go here protect your pet family. If you do go check your dog close/good.

Brought my 3 year old goldendoodle here for a minor clean up. Three days later we had to bring him in for an emergency vet visit. Unfortunately he got a peniel infection and had yellow puss coming out of his private area. I don’t like to bash places often but seeing their response I feel like it should be said. Our dog is beyond clean and is very well taken care of. Seems like a cop out for a business who CLEANS animals. We will just continue to take our business across the highway.

We took our dog in for a sanitary trim and the next day he had a penile infection. He has had several haircuts where he was more hairy than he was for this one and has never licked himself after. $350 later at the animal urgency room!!

For context: My dog has been groomed without incident at several establishments, including this exact location. She has never behaved aggressively. I've literally never seen her snap at anyone. When I was called to come pick her up I was immediately alarmed because this is so extremely out of character for her. The way she was described to me had me deeply concerned for the health and well-being of my dog. For the record, I did not scream, but I did cry as I asked them to please bring me my dog now. I do not care that they were unable to complete her groom. I would never expect an employee to put themselves in harm's way for an animal. I typically groom her myself- this was intended to be a treat for her- a spa day. Our dog loves people. In fact, when they did bring her out to me she immediately ran to the groomers for pets before she came to me. I expected that she would be very anxious and upset but she was totally fine. I took her home and immediately groomed her myself. I still do not know and cannot imagine what happened that upset my sweet and very docile dog to the extent that she was apparently so aggressive. I was not allowed to see the set up where she was being groomed, and I didn't see how she was restrained- hence the one star review. I love my dog and I have carefully socialized her so that she is friendly and compliant. When I dropped her off I was putting her into hands that I apparently couldn't trust. Obviously we will not be returning, it sounds like we wouldn't be welcome.

Edited to add: I want to go ahead and thank the owner for putting words in my mouth without ever speaking with me directly. I wasn't treated in a very compassionate way. The "advice" I received was literally "have you thought about putting your dog on anxiety meds." I truly do not know what happened to my dog. The last time we had her groomed here, the groomer was happy with her behavior and she had a nice cut. To me it would indicate a problem with the groomer (who was different than the last time) and not the dog. The picture is of my dog approximately an hour after I picked her up after I groomed her myself.
