We didn't want just any crew with chainsaws arriving and cutting things without knowing what they were doing. “The Huston’s team was PHENOMENAL all around. The “stuff” before cutting down the trees was easy: they were prompt to get us a quote, got us on the calendar quickly, and had great communication. Their pricing was reasonable/proportionate for the work we were doing. The day of the work they were equally as awesome to work with. They showed up right on time, took down both of our 45+ foot ash trees incredibly efficiently and had the stumps ground out same day. There was no debris left behind… I would argue they left my yard in better shape than they found it. I would HIGHLY recommend them to anyone looking for tree removal services.“

“We have a few large trees in the yard of our new home and we wanted to start our right with our care of the trees. One had some deadwood up high that worried us about it's health.We first reached out to Elijah to get an idea of services and prices for checking out our trees and possible trimming. Elijah was able to provide a wealth of information just through our first email, by naming the specific trees from our picture in the yard, and cautioning us on working with anyone advising over trimming. Once Elijah came out and walked through the yard, he was able to explain more about what care our large trees actually need, and explained the risk of overtrimming. He put to rest our concerns about the deadwood in the larger tree and assured us it was still healthy and solid. There was no push from him on any trimming or removal. We even discovered one of the medium trees in our yard is an Ash and Elijah was honest about treatment vs no treatment with that particular tree. It was clear his concern was first and foremost for the trees themselves and not ridiculous aethetics or financial gain. In the end we decided to hold off on any work but we do expect we'll be working with Elijah in the future once an Ash tree in our yard succumbs to the emarlad ash bores.If you're looking for someone who's knowlegable and actually wants to keep trees alive, healthy, and thriving, Elijah is the one to work with.“

“Kevan Dudley and crew took care of me and my trees in Saint Paul yesterday. I was concerned; I knowingly planted a honey locust very near utility lines. It needs thoughtful routing pruning to grow into the glorious 40-50 ft tree without being a liability over decades. The tree has also been screening my view of neighbors bright lights and utilities and alley views. I wanted good structure for the future, but wanted to keep as much screen as possible without a lopsided tree. Kevan communicated with me well, responded to my pre-appointment emails, and came day-of with the crew. The crew was maybe 7 plus Kevan. They took time, listened, and gave appropriate and helpful opinions as I expressed myself. Discussion was good. Together we came to a staged set of decisions that was a good compromise. I am the kind of person who wants to understand some of the science behind the art. Yes, my honey locust looks both funny and better. My magnolia, redbud, and Japanese lilac all look better and no longer encroach on immediate structures. I have lived in urban settings with mature trees all my life. This is a company you want taking care of the trees around your which give your property its climate modifying shade and character. When we had storms come through our neighborhood, some neighbors went with door knocking storm chasers to take care of their trees. Many of those trees suffered from less thoughtful care.
