Served its initial purpose in an emergency situation. Unfortunately, when your hands are tied you are limited in how you can find representation, if you don't already have it. There was limited time for anyone in my situation to have had adequate time to prepare for the initial hearing, I would have liked to seen Tony give more detailed direction and clearer communication. Transparency on availability and timeframes as well as realistic expectations. Expecting someone in a high stress situation to know and understand the law is unreasonable and that is how this experience made me feel. If you honestly don't have the time or something changes drastically just say that. This was a learning experience for sure. Thank you for getting us through Act 1.

Tony swooped in at the final hour and saved my family. Tony went to extradoinary measures to meet my needs and worked with the local district court to represent me remotely in effort to cut costs. It was clear Tony had a firm grasp of my case and how it should be approached in a manner in which the courts would respond while prioritizing the needs of my family. He explained every part of the process and always ensured there weren't questions unanswered. I cannot thank Tony enough but in efforts to do so, I write this to exclaim and hold his ability and his character in the highest regard!

Unfortunately, my experience with Timothy has been a very poor example of client representation. From the beginning, I kept him fully informed of the situation and he assured me that he would be able to help. However, instead of acting as my attorney, Timothy took on more of a mediator’s role and repeatedly refused to follow through with filing any motions.
Despite my repeated requests and encouragement to explore different strategies and legal actions, Timothy continued to respond with delays, stating that we would “just keep waiting.” In reality, I did far more work on my case myself, including filing my own motions, while Timothy provided little to no meaningful action or support.
The most concerning incident was when Timothy failed to appear at one of my scheduled child custody hearings. We had no prior understanding that he would not be present, and he failed to call me on the morning of court to inform me. This was not only unprofessional but also left me unrepresented at a critical moment in my case.
In my view, Timothy is not suited to provide legal representation. His role and skills may be better aligned with mediation, but I cannot recommend him as an attorney.

Timothy Hrubetz and the entire team at Toepfer were so kind and helpful during a difficult time going through a divorce. They always greeted me coming to the office and went the extra mile to get paperwork done. Tony himself stepped in because I had to get some papers filled out and sent off. Thank you for everything!
