Very kind and patient owner and kind staff support and inclusive. My son gets nervous with the unknown and was skeptical about joining. Itt took many babysteps to get there and I felt worried in the beginning. As I discussed these areas, it was met with positivity and encouragement. When it was seen my son was nervous to join into the larger class, they they met him where his comfort level was and brought the attention to him where he was able to be involved but not forced to join with the others and he loved it.

My son started 4 years ago and is now a brown belt. He is 8 years old. He has learned so much. His listening skills, being respectful and learning self control besides all the karate moves. Dojo Waconia has been great for my kiddo. He was super into it the first couple of classes and then was hesitant and refused to participate. All the instructors were so patient with him and provided him the support he needed at the time to be successful. Now he looks forward to going and is excited for his first tournament coming up! Highly recommend!
